About the observatory

The Saddleback College Observatory is located on its campus in Mission Viejo, California, and was a part of the construction of its Advanced Technology and Applied Science building in 2014. The observatory was built to allow students to gain hands-on experience and conduct astronomical research.

Project Scope

Sea West partnered with Saddleback College to supply and install an 18’-6″ Ash-Dome for the new observatory. Sea West consulted with campus facilities to ensure the facility met ADA compliance for allowing access to all individuals visiting the observatory.
